City Bicycle EVE Comp 30 EQ by Centurion
"Bikes since 1976", in these simple words is for Centurion a more than 40-year track record. From the first day onwards, it is a matter of course for CENTURION that a bike can only bring its owner fun and enjoyment if it has been developed, built and distributed with just as much fun and friends. It is precisely for this reason that people working there, who live the topic of cycling beyond their professional life, work there. Whether you are a developer, designer, marketing or sales professional, responsible for assembly, service or customer service or a senior executive: CENTURION rides a bicycle!
This idea begins with the then founder Wolfgang Renner. Because his thinly frosted crosswheel was not suitable for the Karwendel round, which was so much appreciated by him, Renner launched the first German mountain bike in 1982, the CENTURION Country. The creations of his team also personally tested Renner from the beginning on spectacular adventures around the world. Nothing less than the Himalayas went from Lhasa to Kathmandu in Tibet in 1987 - a test of endurance for a model that is now legendary in the same year.
The lessons learned from such journeys are still in the bicycles of CENTURION: a bicycle has to support its driver optimally, be technically reliable and last for ever. Centurion sums up this philosophy succinctly with "Passion for Design, Perfection and Quality". The characteristics behind it make a CENTURION so special: it fits, it works - and it stays that way. Because behind the brand are passionate people who know what a good bike is all about.
EVE Comp 30 EQ
Backfire Pro and EVE Pro are aluminum hardtails for riders who want to spend their free time on the mountain bike, but do not want to sign up for the next race. Its moderately sporty feel-good geometry makes the hardtails from our "pro" level the first choice when comfort and a safe driving feel count. In order to make these bikes even more attractive in 2018, we have given them a new frame that combines many cutting-edge technical details.
An elaborately shaped down tube offers a clean look as well as optimum stability on the new frame , The new internal routing of the shift cables also ensures greater value and function. Thanks to the tapered head tube, which tapers from 1.5 inches at the bottom to 1 1/8 at the top, the stiffer forks can now be fitted with the corresponding shank (depending on the model). Finally, with a flatter steering angle, we are taking account of new fork geometries, which means that the steering behavior continues to be optimally safe.
Centurion Category 3 - XC / Marathon
CENTURION XC / Marathon bikes are designed for off-road use. Bicycles of this category may be used on tarred roads and cycle paths or dirt roads with finely graveled, sandy or earthy surfaces designated for cycling. In addition, bicycles of this category may be driven on paths and technical sections that have roots, smaller stones, gutters and loose ground. Jumps up to 0.3m are permitted.
CENTURION bikes of this category are not intended for use in rugged, interlocked, or very steep terrain or bike parks, and not for other forms of extreme driving such as dirt jumping, freeriding , Downhill or North Shore - neither in training nor in competition.
However, inexperienced riders in particular can experience unclean landings during jumps, which can significantly increase the forces acting on them and cause damage and injuries. We recommend participating in a driving technique course. If necessary, have your CENTURION bike checked by your CENTURION dealer more often than the maintenance schedule. Cross-country and cross-country mountain bikes are generally MTB hardtails and full-suspension bikes with short travel. The maximum permissible load (driver plus luggage) is 120 kg. Under certain circumstances, the maximum permissible payload may be further restricted by the usage recommendation of the component manufacturers.
- CENTURION bicycles are generally not intended for use in fixed roller trainer. The forces on the rear triangle, which are greatly increased compared to outdoor operation, can lead to failure of the frame. Therefore, do not use your CENTURION bike in a trainer where it is clamped in some form. The use on free roller coaches is permitted.
- CENTURION Bicycles used in extreme driving situations or in competition require a significantly increased ability of the rider. Not all CENTURION bicycles are suitable for such applications. Ask your CENTURION dealer before using it. If you choose to do such a job, you voluntarily take a much increased risk of injury, which can eventually lead to death. In addition, you put increased strain on your CENTURION bike and thus put up with a significantly reduced service life of the CENTURION bike.
- In many magazines, advertisements, catalogs or films drivers are shown in extreme driving situations. These are professionals who have been through years of training on a tremendous driving skills. Always defend your own boundaries defensively; do not overestimate yourself. Always wear appropriate protective clothing. But even the best protective clothing can not protect you from serious injury or even death if you perform extreme maneuvers or participate in competitions.
